4.2.1 Don't Do that!

Greetings: Goodmorning, class. "Goodmorning, teacher!"
Conversation: Toss the ball around & ask Q's. "Hello, name." "How's the weather?" etc.

Introduce new key phrases:
use powerpoint pics
-"Look AT"
-"Watch out!"
-"Are you okay?"

Activity
Listen and clap
(powerpoint pics)
-5 times ifthe phrase matches the picture,
-1 time if it's wrong.

DVD ROM; textbook pp 16
pre-listening 1-2-3
watch the video & ask questions
Listen & repeat

END--
If the kids answer the picture with the right phrase and can leave back to homeroom.

INTRO:
YOUTUBE: watch "grover weather report."
Ask the class, then sing the song, "What's the weather like today?"

Remembering game~students work in their group, using the vocabuilary
"I am.."
"This is.."

Activity
sing ABC (A-M)
CAPITAL letters,
lower case letters

flyswatter game: many letters on the board, CAPS & lower-case
students must slap the word they hear from the teacher

Textbook
p11: match capitals to their lower case pairs
p12: with your group roll the dice, then fill out the chart.
"what's the weather like in ___seoul...pusan...jeju?"
"It's ___sunny...coudy...snowy."
